Dr. Jared Pearson O.D.

Dr. Pearson grew up on a cattle ranch in Britton, SD and graduated from Britton High School. He then attended North Dakota State University and received a B.S in Zoology. Prior to his acceptance into Pacific University College of optometry he worked as a research assistant at NDSU and as telemetry and EKG technician in Fargo ND and Sioux Falls. While at Pacific University he did research on specialty tinted contact lenses and the effect on baseball performance. He received additional training in specialty clinics for pediatrics, vision therapy, contact lenses, ocular disease,

and low vision at Washington State School for the Blind. He received additional training at: Hot Springs SD VA Hospital, a private practice in Reston Virginia, and Barnett-Dulaney-Perkins Eye Center in Phoenix Arizona. After graduating he began practicing in Hot Springs SD before moving to Aberdeen SD and starting Premier Eyecare, P.C. In December 2009, Dr. Pearson relocated his practice to Rapid City SD. He lives in Summerset with his partner Lisa, her two children and their son. In his spare time, Dr. Pearson enjoys baseball, the outdoors, hunting, and gardening.

Dr. Dawn Wattenhofer O.D.

Dr. Wattenhofer has practiced optometry in Rapid City since 1998, starting as a sublease doctor next to a national chain. She spent two years working with an ophthalmologist prior to opening our downtown location in 2011. Dr. Wattenhofer lives in Rapid City with her husband, Corey, who is a real-estate appraiser, they have 4 children. They enjoy the outdoor activities in the Black Hills, camping, ATV and Skiining.

Dr. Wattenhofer grew up in Gillette, Wyoming and attended Black Hills State University before going to Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. At Pacific University, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Vision Science and her Doctor of Optometry Degree.
